Please see this exciting new foundation that was recently established right here in Richmond County….
Introducing the MacWala Foundation.
The Foundation was established with a simple goal: to honour the families and values that shaped us by creating opportunities for the next generation. Through scholarships, youth sports assistance, and community grants, we aim to help remove financial barriers and strengthen the communities that make Richmond County such a special place to call home.
Current opportunities include:
• Local Trade Scholarships for students pursuing careers in the skilled trades
• The MacInnis Family Youth Sports Fund, helping ensure financial circumstances do not prevent participation in organized sports
• Community Grants supporting local organizations, volunteer groups, and community initiatives
Our hope is to ensure these opportunities reach local students, families, athletes, volunteers, and community groups who may benefit from additional support.
More information about the Foundation and our programs can be found at:
Throughout the Village, there are garbage bins for casual toss in waste and recyclables. These garbage bins are NOT for individual household garbage. We ask that people do not place their individual household garbage in the Village garbage bins, as well we are asking that people do not place individual household garbage on or beside the Village garbage bins. Please contact the Municipality of the County of Richmond for individual household garbage pickup times.
